Details for Assay 15: Sex Ratio
Description
Sex ratio is the phenotypic proportion of the categories female, male, intersex, and undifferentiated, and is determined by histological analysis of the gonads. Histological examination includes staining with hematoxylin and eosin, and examination by light microscopy to identify the sex. Fish (zebrafish and fathead minnow) were exposed to an aromatase inhibitor during sexual differentiation and development, from 0 to 60 days post hatch, and sections of the gonadal tissue were examined.Validation notes not yet submitted
